The same e-bikes for rentals and tours
Your guests pick their bike and the rental length, say two e-bikes for half a day. They see right away that the bikes are due back by 14:00. The child trailer is only available together with an e-bike. Rentals and the e-bike tour run on the same 14 e-bikes. If eight of them are out on a tour, six are left to rent. The €50 deposit is listed while booking. You only collect it in the shop.

Ask for age and weight while booking
You set your own rules for every tour. For the Segway tour Lakeside that means 14 or older and 45 to 118 kg. Teens only ride together with an adult. Your guests enter date of birth, weight and height for every rider. If a rider is only 13, your own message appears right away. Any missing details they add on “My booking” up to 24 hours before the tour.

Cancel the whole day when a storm comes
When a storm rolls in, you cancel all e-bike tour start times that day at once. You pick “Weather” as the reason. Every guest gets a message at once. If you allow it, they rebook on “My booking” themselves or cancel free of charge. On a morning like that you no longer phone anyone one by one.
At least four guests per e-bike tour
You set a minimum for every guided tour, say four guests for the e-bike tour. Two days before the start you get an early warning if seats are still missing. One day before, the bookings are counted again automatically. If the number is still short, the date is cancelled and your guests rebook for free or get their money back. Set it to “Only warn me” and only you are told, so the call is yours.

Serve walk-in guests at the register
If someone walks in without booking, you tap start time and bikes at the register. Two e-bikes, a kids' bike and a trailer for half a day come to €98. Your guest pays cash or scans a QR code with their phone. If they hand you €100, the register shows €2 in change. If two e-bikes go over the counter at 11:00, twelve of 14 show as taken online. In Germany the register runs with a TSE.
