For 12 years I've been an online sales partner for city tours, harbour cruises, Spree boat trips and more in Hamburg and Berlin. Over the years I've always tried to get the most out of my booking system (WordPress & WooCommerce), which was anything but easy & damn complex. Existing booking solutions on the market were never an option for me: too bad, too few features.

And so it had to happen: as a partner of large tourism companies for whom I sell tours, I still end up dealing with those same booking systems. We waited a full three years for an established booking system to ship an email notification for partner sales, a ten-minute job. When a botched & extremely poorly implemented update on "partners & resellers" landed, that was the last straw: the simple email notification was missing once again.

So I decided to turn a long-held dream into reality: my own booking system. Years of experience taught me exactly what matters: transparent & affordable fees, easy to use, excellent overview, technical reliability, well-thought-out features and a strong booking widget. Done, that's how Activento came about.
