How is Activento's pricing structured?

Activento offers three plans: Basic, Grow and Pro. Each plan combines a fixed monthly base fee with a system fee calculated as a percentage of the booking revenue processed through the platform. Basic has no base fee at all, making it ideal for getting started, while Grow and Pro reduce the system fee percentage as your volume grows. All prices are published transparently on this page.

Minimum per booking: every booking through your own channels carries at least Basic €0.29, Grow €0.24, Pro €0.19. The minimum fee only applies to bookings under €10, for example free tours. Channel manager imports carry no minimum.

Question 2

Can I switch from another system to Activento?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can move to Activento from your current booking system at any time, with no setup fee and no long-term contract.

Activento includes thoughtful migration paths so you can bring over products, customers and bookings from your old system. And if you need a hand, Felix and Dominic are available personally to help you through the switch.

What exactly is the system fee?

Accepted Answer

The system fee is a small percentage applied to the booking revenue you process through Activento. It covers the operation of your booking system, hosting, updates and support. The rate depends on your plan: the higher the plan, the lower the percentage. Point-of-sale revenue carries the same rate as online bookings, and bookings imported through the channel manager carry a reduced rate.

Can I pass the fee on to my end customers?

Accepted Answer

No, that is not how Activento works. Here is why:

Many other systems offer fee pass-through. We think that is a bad idea. Those systems try to make it look like the software is "free". Technically, that may even be true.

The cost shows up elsewhere, and it is usually much higher and more painful: abandoned checkouts because booking fees appear late in the purchase flow.

Surcharges at checkout are among the top conversion killers. We are convinced you lose far more revenue and profit when you add fees at the end.

Do not let other systems pretend the platform is free. You pay dearly for that "free" elsewhere.

That is exactly why you cannot pass Activento fees on to your end customers. Build them into your final price, done.

Question 5

Does Activento charge a setup fee?

Accepted Answer

No. Activento does not charge any setup fee, not for getting started, not for individual features and not when switching plans. You only pay the base fee and system fee of your chosen plan, plus any add-ons you actively use.

Question 6

What fees apply to payment methods?

Accepted Answer

Payment providers such as PayPal, Mollie and Stripe charge their own processing fees per transaction. These depend on the provider and the payment method your customer chooses. Activento passes these fees through at cost, without any markup. You decide which payment methods to offer and connect your own provider accounts, so you always keep full control over your payment costs.

Are there any hidden costs?

Accepted Answer

No. The base fee and system fee of each plan are published openly on this page. What you see is what you pay. The only additional variable costs are the actual processing fees of the payment providers you choose to connect, which are billed by those providers directly. With the Walk-up | POS | Register add-on, the register for your first location is included; each further register costs 15 € per month. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Question 8

Is the free trial really free?

Accepted Answer

The 30-day trial runs without a base fee and with the full PRO feature set, with no credit card required and no automatic subscription.

Good to know: you can already process real bookings during the trial once your payment methods are set up. Real sales incur the system fee, as in every plan, at the low PRO rate of 1.90% (min. €0.19) during the trial.

After the 30 days your account automatically switches to the Basic plan (€0 base fee), with no paywall and no data loss. Upgrading to a paid plan ends the trial immediately.

Question 9

Is there a minimum contract term?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no minimum term and no notice period: you can switch or cancel your plan at any time, and fees are charged by the day up to then. There are no annual contracts, no setup fees and no long-term commitments. You stay because the product works for you, not because a contract forces you to.

Can I get help and support if I get stuck?

Yes. You get help and support whenever you need it, through in-dashboard documentation, email and our support team. We want you back on track quickly, not left alone in the system.

Can I request or commission custom features?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we love hearing what operators actually need. If a feature is missing or you have an idea that would move your business forward, talk to us. Felix and Dominic build Activento themselves and good ideas from real day-to-day use often find their way into the product.

Question 12

Are all features included in every plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every plan includes the complete Activento feature set: online shop, product management, bookings, calendar, channel manager, reporting and much more. The plans differ exclusively in base fee and system fee. You will never be forced to upgrade because a single feature is missing.

Question 13

What are add-ons and how are they billed?

Accepted Answer

Add‑ons extend Activento with capabilities for specific business needs, for example staff management, reseller and partner sales, channel manager connections, seating plans, website hosting or walk-up, POS & register.

All six Add‑ons are available in every plan (Basic, Grow, Pro) with their full feature set. You never have to upgrade to a higher plan to use an Add‑on.

The only limits:

• The Website Builder Add‑on includes one website free of charge. Each additional website costs 29 € per month.
• The Walk-up | POS | Register Add‑on includes the register for your first location. Each further register for another location costs 15 € per month.

Question 14

Can I switch plans or cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan at any time, directly from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately and are billed pro rata to the day. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
