Assign resources in the calendar
In the calendar you assign a resource to each time slot, such as a boat, a bus or a room. You can do this directly on the time slot or by drag and drop in the resource view. If the resource is already assigned elsewhere at the same time or within its turnaround time, the assignment cannot be saved. On the product you can choose to let the assigned resource set how many places the time slot sells.
- The selection shows when a busy resource is in use and for which time slot
- Turnaround time per resource, for example to get to the next pier
- Resources with a home location can only be assigned to products in the same place
- Assignment rules allocate resources automatically by product, start time and weekday, and a conflict creates a task
Several products share the equipment
Sizes and models are each linked to their own resource, for example every wetsuit size. This resource can be used in several products, and every booked unit counts against its shared stock. The stock is only occupied during the time window of each booking. Once every item in a size is taken, that size can no longer be booked in the booking widget for that period.
Resource types with colour and icon
Types such as ship, bus, room and equipment are already set up and can be renamed or deleted. You create your own types with a name, a colour and an icon. Colour and icon appear in the resource list and in the calendar's resource view. Guides and drivers are not resources. They are assigned to time slots through the staff add-on.
