Booking system for trains & ferries

With Activento you sell tickets for your trains and ferries online. Your passengers book their crossing or steam train ride around the clock. On the train they reserve a fixed seat if they like. You set up the timetable, departure by departure. At boarding your team scans the tickets with a phone.

Timetable & fares

Every timetable departure sold on its own

For your route you set up each departure with its weekdays and season. Your ferry from Wittsiel to Nordersand might sail daily at 07:30, 10:15 and 13:45. From Friday to Sunday the 17:30 crossing is added. Your passengers see the arrival time of every departure and whether seats are left. For the popular midday crossing you charge €19.50 instead of €16.50. Bikes come along for €6, at most 12 per departure.

Passengers pick their seat in the carriage

For your train you set up every carriage in the seating plan add-on. On the Heidetal steam train carriage 1 is first class, carriages 2 and 3 second class. Each class has its own prices for adults and children. Your passengers click their seat right in the carriage, for example 4A and 4B. No seat is ever sold twice. If you allow it, they change their seat later on “My booking” themselves.

Children, dogs and cars at their own price

For the ferry to Nordersand you set a fare for adults, children and dogs. An adult pays €16.50, a child aged 6 to 14 pays €8.20 and a dog €3.50. The car comes as an extra. You sell at most 20 of them on every departure. More do not fit on your car deck.

The vessel per departure sets the seat count

In the calendar you give every departure a vessel or a train. By hand or with a rule such as “the 17:30 is always MS Seeschwalbe”. If you like, the seats on sale then follow that vessel. With MS Seeschwalbe exactly its 250 seats go on sale. If MS Nordersand is still on its return crossing at 17:30, it cannot be assigned.

Ticket checks with your phone

At boarding your team scans every ticket with the Activento app. If the Petersen family holds four tickets, the list counts up person by person. Without signal the app collects the scans and sends them later. At the ticket office you sell the seats still free online, cash or QR code. In Germany the register runs with a TSE. If you call off the 07:30 ferry for a storm, your passengers rebook themselves.
