Surcharges and discounts on the product
In the product editor's Pricing tab you set surcharges and discounts for each product. Every rule gets a name and a fixed amount or a percentage. For dynamic pricing you also choose whether the rule raises or lowers the price. Of several matching dynamic pricing rules of the same kind only one applies, the one highest in the rules list, whose order you set by drag and drop. Rules of different kinds, such as weekday and occupancy, add up. Changes only apply to new bookings, so line items already booked keep their price.
- Dynamic pricing rules follow the weekday, a date range, individual special dates or the occupancy of the slot.
- Early-bird and last-minute discounts depend on how far ahead of the date a booking is made, set in hours or days.
- The display price in the booking widget can be the standard price, the lowest price or a custom amount, optionally with “from”.
- For every rule you can exclude person types, volume tiers and other pricing rules it should not apply to.
Discounts saved per line item
With every booking, the discounts granted are saved on the line item with their name and amount. These include discounts from volume tiers, person type price rules, dynamic pricing, early bird and last minute. In the order details they appear directly below the booked line item. Later changes to your pricing rules do not alter these records.
Pricing rules by slot occupancy
For occupancy rules you set a percentage threshold from which the surcharge or discount applies. Occupancy is calculated from the places booked and held in carts, measured against the capacity of the slot. With several occupancy rules and different thresholds the price rises step by step, because the highest threshold reached applies. When a quote is later converted into a booking, the occupancy used to price the quote still applies.
