With Activento you sell your walking tours online. Your guests pick their language as they book and only see the matching start times. Anyone turning up at the meeting point buys a ticket from your guide. How many guests a tour needs to run is up to you. Before the start your guide scans the tickets with a phone.
Your Old Town tour starts in German every day at 11:00. The English tour sets off at 13:00, at weekends also at 16:30. You set separate start times for each language, Spanish on Saturdays at 12:00 only for example. Your guests tap their flag in the widget and only see the times in their language. The widget itself comes in 24 languages. Confirmation and ticket arrive in the language the booking was made in.
For the crime walk you set six guests as the minimum. The six have to be together by the cutoff, for example 24 hours before the start. If numbers look tight, you get a warning 48 hours ahead. You then decide yourself whether the tour is cancelled. If you cancel, your message goes to every booked guest right away. If you allow rebooking, guests pick a new evening themselves under My booking.
School classes or companies like to book the whole tour for themselves. For that you tier the price by group size. Up to 10 people the private tour costs €180, 11 to 20 people €260. The group picks its number of people in the widget and sees the price at once. Booking happens online, with no enquiry by e-mail.
Hotel am Neckar has its own login and books your Old Town tour for its guests. If you allow it, the hotel takes the payment from its guests directly. You set the commission per partner, 10 percent for example. On a €36 sale that is €3.60. Because the hotel sees the same free places as your website, no tour gets overbooked.
The meeting point is on every ticket, for example Hercules Fountain at 11:00. There your guide scans the QR codes with the Activento app. If the whole group is already there, one tap checks everyone in. Walk-up guests pay the guide in cash or by QR code and are checked in with the sale. In Germany on-site sales run through a TSE. If the tour starts ten minutes late, one message from the guide reaches all 16 guests.
