Multilingual shops

Your shop speaks up to 24 languages. You choose your default language, switch on more and keep the translations of products, legal texts, e-mails and widget in one place. The website is translated in its own settings. Every guest books in their own language and gets the confirmation and ticket in that same language.

Your shop texts in one place

Under Settings → Languages → Content & translations you find the texts your guests read, sorted by section: products, legal texts, e-mail templates, widget labels, payment methods and more. You pick the language, see the original beside it and type in the translation. Progress is counted for you, section by section.

  • One list each for products, legal texts, e-mails, widget templates, payment methods, booking questions and seating plans
  • “Translate from”: you choose which language shows as the original, for example German for English and English for everything else
  • Progress per section and per language, gaps marked as critical or optional
  • Every entry links to the place where the text is edited

You decide which languages your shop speaks

Under Settings → Languages you choose your default language, the one your base texts are written in, and add any of the 24 languages. Every active language gets its own tab for translating. You also decide what the widget does with a missing text: show it in your default language or show a visible placeholder.

The checklist shows what is still missing

The translation checklist lists every gap per language. A missing product name or legal text counts as critical, a missing widget label as optional. Each entry takes you straight to the field. The widget editor shows the same status per language before you copy an embed code.

The right widget for every language page

If your website has several languages, each language page gets its own embed code: in the widget editor you copy the booking widget with ?locale=fr for the French page and ?locale=en for the English one. On an Activento website the language comes from the page address automatically. A shop with one language sets the widget to its default language.

Accounting in two languages, not 24

Your shop can speak 24 languages, your accounting needs two. The main language is the one for your books, exports and archived PDFs. The second language, English unless you change it, covers all other bookings: a guest who booked in Croatian gets the invoice in English, not in Croatian.
