Channel manager

With the channel manager, you can also sell your tours and tickets through GetYourGuide, Viator, Civitatis and Tiqets. The channel catalogue lists 25+ channels, including these four booking platforms with a direct interface. Bookings through the platforms, bookings in the booking widget and on-site sales all draw on the same capacity. The platforms receive the available seats automatically, and their reservations and bookings are checked against this capacity before they are accepted. Every booking through a platform is created as an order with the sales channel and the platform's booking reference.

Channels and interfaces

The channel manager lists 25+ channels in five groups: marketplaces, tickets & meta, gift vouchers, DACH portals and experiences. There is a direct interface to GetYourGuide, Viator, Civitatis and Tiqets. Each of these connections goes through preparation, setup and certification by the platform before the channel goes live. You can switch sales through a connected channel on or off in the channel manager at any time.

  • Interfaces to GetYourGuide, Viator, Civitatis and Tiqets
  • Certification before going live
  • Sales can be switched on and off per channel

Product push to the platforms

You maintain title, description, images, variants and prices once in Activento and send them to the connected platforms with one click. New products reach the marketplace in a few steps. Every later change is transferred automatically, without entering it again in each platform's supplier portal.

Shared capacity for every channel

Channel bookings, bookings in the booking widget and on-site sales all draw on the same capacity. When the availability of a date changes, GetYourGuide and Viator are notified automatically. Civitatis and Tiqets retrieve the current availability from Activento at regular intervals. For every channel, the channel manager shows the status of the last transfer: “OK”, “Failing” or “No push yet”.

OTA bookings as orders

A booking through a connected platform is created as an order with the product, date, number of people and the platform's booking reference. In the order list, it is marked in the “Sales channel” column, for example with “OTA (GetYourGuide)”. As the guest has already paid on the platform, these orders get no payment reminders and no automatic invoice. In the calendar, the booking appears on its date alongside all other bookings.

  • Sales channel and booking reference on every order
  • Filter by sales channel in the orders
  • Payment through the platform, no payment reminders
  • In the calendar on the relevant date

Fees for channel bookings

Channel bookings carry your plan's OTA fee instead of the system fee. The system fee applies to your own sales, for example through the booking widget, manual orders and on-site sales. The current rates for each plan are listed on the pricing page.

Import via CSV or Excel

Bookings from channels without an interface or from a previous system can be imported as a CSV or Excel file under Orders. Upcoming bookings are added without a capacity check and without notifications. Past bookings serve as the basis for records, statistics and the customer history. Every import is free of charge for the first 60 days after registration. After that, imported bookings with an upcoming date carry the OTA fee.
