Pages made of rows and blocks
Every page is built from rows with one to five columns. Each column can hold one block, for example a hero, a text, a gallery, an FAQ section or a form. Rows and blocks are moved by drag & drop and can be duplicated or copied to other pages. “Preview draft” shows every page before publishing the way it will appear live.

Product pages with the booking widget
Product page blocks can take their content from the linked product, from images and description to meeting point, prices and reviews. Every product page contains the booking widget, so your guests choose date, people and extras right on the page. On a phone, a bar with the from-price stays at the bottom, and its “Check availability” button leads to the booking widget.
The appearance of your website
You start from one of ten colour palettes and adjust the colours of the header, the content, highlighted sections and the footer one by one. Every colour combination is checked automatically for legibility against WCAG AA. For headings and text you pick from 14 fonts, all loaded without any external font service. Every page shows its content at 1280 pixels, the width of modern websites, and single sections can span the full screen in the editor.
The website on your own domain
You confirm your domain with a TXT record at your DNS provider and point it to Activento with a CNAME or A record. The SSL certificate is then issued automatically. You set the SEO title, SEO description and social share image for every page. The sitemap, robots.txt, hreflang tags and structured data for products and reviews are generated automatically.

Header and footer with menu and banner
Header and footer consist of rows and columns in which you arrange elements by drag & drop. The header offers logo, menu, text link, button and language switcher as elements. The footer offers link lists, contact details, social networks, images and the legal links, among others. Above the header, a banner for notices and offers can also be shown.

Pages in up to 24 languages
All pages appear in every language that is active in your shop. For every language, texts, SEO title and SEO description can be translated and an address of its own can be set. The addresses of the default language have no language code, while every other language gets its own code such as /en. The language switcher in the header appears as soon as more than one language is active.
Publishing and version history
The website can go online once the imprint and privacy policy are in place and the domain is verified. You publish each page yourself, so an unfinished page never goes live by accident, and a published product page must be linked to a product from your catalogue. Menus, header, footer, banner and design go live together when you publish. The last 20 published versions stay in the version history and can be restored at any time. After “Take site offline”, visitors see a placeholder page until the next publish.
